Al Ahly Set to Face Smouha in Egyptian League Clash

Al Ahly is scheduled to take on Smouha in an Egyptian Premier League fixture, with the match date and broadcast details confirmed by Egyptian outlet Youm7. The game forms part of Al Ahly’s domestic schedule as the Cairo club continues its title push.

According to Youm7, the encounter will be televised on a designated channel, though the report does not specify the exact kickoff time or venue. Al Ahly enters the match following a training session in which head coach Patrice Amouta held meetings with his assistant coaches, as reported by the club’s official website and the Shorouk Gate portal. Amouta is said to be putting the final touches on the team’s game plan against Smouha.

The fixture carries notable history, as Yalla Kora highlights that Al Ahly has gone four years without a defeat in this particular matchup. That unbeaten run adds context to what is otherwise a routine league meeting, with Al Ahly expected to maintain its dominance over the Alexandria-based side.

Looking ahead, Sada El Balad notes that Al Ahly faces a congested stretch in September, with three matches scheduled within a 12-day period before the international break. The Smouha game is the first of those fixtures, and the report raises the question of whether the team can secure maximum points across all three outings.

Al Ahly’s preparation has focused on tactical adjustments, with Amouta reportedly reviewing the squad’s approach in training. No lineup details or injury updates were included in the available reporting.

The match against Smouha represents an opportunity for Al Ahly to build momentum early in the month, with the team aiming to carry that form into the subsequent fixtures before the league pauses for international duty. Fans will be watching to see if the club can extend its strong record against Smouha and start September on a winning note.
